Maison de la Chimie
A historic address in the Faubourg Saint-Germain: an elegant 18th-century hôtel particulier — the former hôtel de La Rochefoucauld d’Estissac — behind an authentic Art Deco interior, opened as the Maison de la Chimie in 1934. The building has two amphitheatres, eighteen rooms and salons, and a private garden of 900 m² where the breaks are served.
Main auditorium
Amphithéâtre Lavoisier — 853 seats, Art Deco, with three interpreting booths. First floor, 28 bis wing.
Second room
Amphithéâtre Bernard Bigot — 216 tiered seats on the ground floor, opening onto the garden.
Entrances
Two main doors, at 28 and 28 bis. Sessions in the Lavoisier are reached through the 28 bis wing.
Accessibility
Platform lifts at both entrances, lifts to every public floor, wheelchair spaces in the amphitheatres and accessible toilets on each floor.
